To build a brighter future, we must invest in the children and youth of today. Since 1941, we have remained committed to our mission to ensure that every child has mentors and champions in life. This commitment, combined with your support, has allowed us to help our future leaders make their dreams a reality.

Our work to find innovative ways to better meet the unique needs of the young people we serve never ends. This year, we expanded our college and career programs, College Bound & Workforce Development to reach new demographics. We opened a new site, specifically for these programs in the heart of Santa Ana, allowing us to better meet our target population where they are. Our merger with Youth Employment Services (YES) marked a significant milestone in addressing our community’s workforce needs.

In response to the academic achievement gap, we expanded our Early Literacy & Math program, which provides targeted support to students at their school sites, to include math support this year. Our commitment to corporate social responsibility remains instrumental to carrying out our mission. Through collaborative efforts with our corporate and community partners, we created a deeper impact through increased volunteerism. Improvements in our programs were matched with developments in our Club.  This past year, our Clubs were enhanced with new playgrounds, learning centers and renovations that spark student’s creativity and imagination.

Education is the forefront of our strategy to create a more opportunistic world, while direct mentorship continues to be the heart of our purpose. While we are grateful for the progress we’ve made, there are still children, youth and families who need our help. Together, we can ensure every young person has the opportunity to unlock their greatness. Please join us in empowering children, youth, and young adults in our community to achieve their highest potential by making a gift in whatever capacity you can.

The year-end giving season has arrived, Giving Tuesday is November 28, and all gifts are tax-deductible. If you’re unable to make a gift, please share this post with your friends and loved ones who are looking to support local children and families this holiday season. On social media, please share using the hashtags #GivingTuesday and #bgccentraloc.

On behalf of our entire Club family, we wish you and yours safe, healthy, and happy holidays.
