At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast, we believe greatness exists in every child, and through the power of positive mentorship, we can change a child’s trajectory for a lifetime. Our goal is to help our youth reach their full potential by ensuring they have access to the tools and mentors they need to pursue greatness.
We also believe that when we partner with like-minded organizations and individuals, our collective impact enables us to do much more for the kids and families we serve and can affect greater change and outcomes in their lives. As such, we connect with individuals, corporations, and community groups to form strategic partnerships and provide volunteer opportunities that make a lasting positive impact—for everyone involved.
Our wide array of volunteer opportunities allow individuals and groups to become part of our Club family while giving back to their communities in ways that are meaningful. For example, involvement could include working hands-on with the youth in our programs on a one-time or ongoing basis, supporting our community-focused events through the holiday season, becoming a youth sports coach, or participating in customized corporate engagement activities that specifically align with your team. We also offer skills-based volunteer opportunities and internships for those who want to put their unique or professional talents to work for the youth in our Clubs.
Corporate volunteer groups are often able to double their impact through their company’s matching grants program! Many community-minded companies not only offer their employees paid time off to volunteer locally, but they’ll also provide a grant to the organization matching their employees’ generous time. Ask your company’s Human Resources department about your matching grant opportunities.
We believe volunteers are the heart and soul of every community, and it is this spirit of giving that inspires action.
