As we enter the holiday season and reflect on 2019, we realize that this year has been pretty special for all of us at Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast. Thanks to tremendous donor and community support, we wrapped up our Pursuing Greatness Campaign and unveiled four newly redeveloped 21st century Boys & Girls Clubs equipped with new technology and collaborative spaces to help every child we serve pursue his or her unique greatness.
Our new Clubs are more than gift boxes filled with Chromebooks, iPads, 3D printers, robotics, art walls, gymnasiums, teen centers, culinary centers, and everything our Club members need to build 21st century skills. What’s really inside those “gift boxes” are the real gifts they get to unwrap every day: curiosity, exploration, discovery, enrichment, fun, mentorship, and a path toward greatness.
Through our Clubs and partner sites, we will serve 9,500 youth this year, 87% of whom are considered low income and 100% of whom, regardless of their background or zip code, deserve access to mentors and champions in life and the chance to continue exploring, discovering, and pursuing greatness.
