As a response to the growing acknowledgement of mental health as an aspect of overall health, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast has taken strategic actions to support our staff and youth in the area of mental wellness.

Leading the way for mental health initiatives is Director of Mental Health & Wellness Trisha Jackson, as she demonstrates a commitment to training and development for staff and the creation and strengthening of partnerships.

We are currently in need of generous partners to help support informational workshops to educate our youth on the importance of their mental wellbeing.

Partner Highlight

We are proud to have Start Well as a key partner for mental health & wellness initiatives.  Start Well is a community agency that works with early care and education agencies to ensure that staff are competent in providing a nurturing environment focused on social and emotional well-being and the behavioral health of children.  We are thankful for Start Well’s implementation of evidence-based behavior management guidelines for our mentors, which helps create structure and routine in our programming.
