We believe greatness exists in every child, and through the power of positive mentorship, we can change a child’s trajectory for a lifetime. During this year’s Women of Greatness Brunch & Bubbly, our Boys & Girls Club community came together to celebrate the impact positive mentorship has in our community and future generations.
In conjunction with Women’s History Month, our Boys & Girls Club of Central Orange Coast has been honoring inspirational women that make a positive impact in our Club community through our Women of Greatness philanthropy group – a female-focused philanthropy group that brings together women of various backgrounds who have a common interest in making a difference for youth and families in our communities.
Cathy Stahl is, by definition, a Woman of Greatness who embodies our mission, vision and core value, helps provide opportunities to our female Club members, and inspires future generations. A true champion for our youth and dedicated Blue Ambassador of our Club, Cathy has elevated corporate volunteerism through her team at PIMCO, and has brought her knowledge and expertise to many of our Club initiatives.
As this year’s Community Partner, Rossi Coyle has been a dedicated advocate for our Boys & Girls Club, sharing the Club’s mission with her network and inspiring others to get involved. Along with the Irvine Company Office customers, Rossi champions corporate impact, volunteerism, and collecting valuable resources our youth count on each year from the Boys & Girls Club.
The impact of our Women of Greatness honorees and support of our Club community has allowed us to surpass our fundraising goal, ensuring our future female leaders have equitable access to resources and mentors. Girls with a mentor have a very valuable advantage over those who do not have a mentor. And our keynote speaker, Barbara Coloroso, spoke on the importance mentorship has at a young age, letting us know that kids are worth it and it is our job as mentors to help them continue to achieve their greatest potential.
Investing in our future female leaders means we all have the opportunity to learn from and grow. As a mentor you have the power to inspire and change the lives of our youth, and our youth have the power to inspire and change your lives.
