The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast is to ensure every child has mentors and champions in life. Becoming a mentor is an opportunity to help develop a child to reach his or her full potential. Every day, serving over 2,000 youth in the cities of Costa Mesa, Irvine, Newport Beach, Orange, and Santa Ana, the Club works to develop the next generation of leaders.

The benefits of mentorship are all encompassing. Mentors learn more about themselves, become better leaders, and experience an increased sense of self-esteem and fulfillment. Mentees are given the opportunity to realize their full potential, explore learning skills, and gain resiliency.

Our Club’s Impact Model delivers a structured daily rotation consisting of a balance of academic reinforcement and homework help (Power Hour), health and fitness (Triple Play), and enrichment programs (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math). Implementing this strategy in our mentorship program provides the structure necessary to serve youth holistically while building meaningful relationships.

“Sometimes they don’t get a voice, maybe not at home, maybe not at school, but here in the Boys & Girls Club, you have a voice. It’s very important. I was given that voice,” Raul Jara, Club Board Member / Club Alumnus

We believe that the memories created today pave the way for the mentors of tomorrow. Mentors like you allow us to provide tools and resources that propel the youth of our community into high school and beyond, enabling them to pursue greatness. When you become a mentor, you invest in a child’s potential by providing him or her with guidance and support that lasts a lifetime.

Opportunities are available for individuals and corporate partners to provide positive, hands-on mentorship for our kids. Make an impact by becoming a volunteer mentor today!
