August 2024 – This month, we wrapped up our Back 2 School Campaign, where we distributed over 800 backpacks filled with essential school supplies to help youth prepare for the new school year. The goal of this campaign was to set our youth up for success by ensuring they have the resources they need to pursue greatness.
We hosted backpack drives in Santa Ana, Newport-Mesa, and Orange, with 424 backpacks distributed in Santa Ana alone. Our Santa Ana event presented by Hyundai Capital America and Powered by Power Crunch served local youth, including our Family Strengthening families and students from nearby elementary schools. Each backpack was packed with essential school supplies, books donated by Teacher Created Materials and Power Crunch, hygiene kits, toys and swag from Power Crunch, fruit cups from Dole Food Company, and food resources from Feed the Children. Thanks to our friends from Newport Balboa Rotary Club we distributed 232 backpacks in Newport-Mesa, and 216 backpacks in Orange with the support of Kiwanis Club of Orange.
The success of our Back 2 School Campaign would not have been possible without the incredible support from our volunteers and partners.
